Biography
Shree Mataji Nirmala Devi was born in 1923 in Chhindwara, India, to a Christian family of royal lineage. Her father was a renowned freedom fighter who worked closely with Mahatma Gandhi. From a young age, Shree Mataji possessed a deep spiritual awareness. In 1970, she discovered the method of Sahaja Yoga, allowing collective, mass Self-Realization. She travelled the world for over 40 years, giving self-realization to hundreds of thousands of people entirely for free.
Her Mission
Her mission was to bring spiritual awakening and global peace through Self-Realization. She taught that true peace cannot be achieved from the outside, but must be experienced within ourselves first. She established Sahaja Yoga as a gift of love, open to everyone regardless of race, religion, or background, completely free of cost.
